Deliveries
Nothing compares to visiting our atelier in Haarlem to experience firsthand our lamps, each ready to find its new home. You are also welcome to personally select your preferred combination, should you desire a different shade or color for the textile wire.
Given the exclusivity of these handmade pieces, crafted with the utmost care and attention, we offer personal delivery within the Haarlem, Amsterdam areas, and Paris also if possible. This ensures your precious lamp arrives safely and in perfect condition, avoiding any potential issues during transport.
That said, we're happy to arrange shipping and currently offer Complimentary standard shipping on orders of €150 and above (see more in your FAQ and shipping policy). So far, everything we've shipped has arrived safely, thanks to the same care we put into wrapping every item.
Returns & Refunds
You can request a return within 14 days of delivery for eligible items, unused and in their original packaging. You arrange return shipping. Please contact hello@parlemstudio.com before sending anything back.
In the unlikely event that something arrives damaged, please contact us with photos, and we'll provide a solution, whether a replacement or a refund.

What's the difference between a brass and a white lampshade lining, and how does it affect the lighting?
The brass lining is quite opaque, so the fabric pattern stays hidden even when the lamp is lit. Instead, light is directed strongly downward, where it catches the golden reflections on the lamp's foot, and upward, emphasizing the warm golden tone of the shade. This creates a warm, sophisticated atmosphere, ideal for living areas, and highlights the high-end finish of the lamp, most of our technical components are made of polished brass, as we avoid plastic wherever possible.
The white, more translucent lining offers a different effect: light passes through the fabric, revealing the shade's pattern even more clearly when lit, and diffuses more evenly all around. The light itself is brighter and whiter, making this option well-suited to reading areas or spaces where a daylight-like atmosphere is preferred.
What about special orders, custom projects, or bespoke finishings?
It's always a pleasure to collaborate with private clients on ideas that are just getting started or need a finishing touch, whether you have a piece you love but aren't sure how to bring into your interior, a vase, an antique lamp base, or something else entirely. Sometimes it only takes one or two well-chosen lamps and a handful of carefully selected cushions to instantly give personality and warmth to a space that felt minimal and impersonal until then.
We also enjoy working with project owners, architects, and interior designers on larger projects, bringing bright ideas and custom finishings to complete a space with lively, refined home accessories. Please get in touch!
What if an item is no longer available, or you'd like a pair but only one is in stock?
Always feel free to contact us in that case. If we still have the fabric or material on hand, we may well be able to recreate the piece or complete your pair. Same if you'd like a slightly different finishing, always ask!
