Kamala Table Lamp

A generous white ceramic base gives Kamala a strong yet graceful presence. Raw, textured and subtly tribal in character, its sculptural form brings a sense of grounded femininity, balanced by elegant, flowing proportions.

The shade is wrapped in a light floral Indian handmade block-print fabric in shades of green, blue and white. Its translucent white lining softens and diffuses the light, creating an even, gentle glow that quietly warms the surrounding space. The contrast between the solid, tactile ceramic and the delicate floral fabric gives Kamala its particular balance of strength and delicacy.

The lamp is completed with a vibrant green textile cord and carefully chosen Italian fittings and switch, inspired by the distinctive details of 1960s Italian design. Together, these elements add a playful vintage character while keeping the overall composition refined and timeless.

Kamala means “lotus” in Sanskrit, a flower associated with purity and delicacy, yet one that carries its own quiet strength. Opening towards the light, the lotus felt like a natural name for a lamp that brings together femininity, strength and softness.
