Vibrant African-inspired Vlisco fabric wraps the shade in bold pattern and colour. Its rippling, wave-like motif evokes the movement of water, while flashes of turquoise glitter catch the light like sunlight shimmering across the surface of the sea.
Inside, a warm bronze lining gently directs the light downward and inward, creating a focused, intimate glow rather than a diffuse one. The contrast between the cool, fluid colours of the fabric and the warmth of the bronze gives Mira a sense of depth, softness and quiet refinement.
The lamp is completed with carefully chosen details: elegant French brass fittings in a warm, timeless finish, and a striking electric-blue twisted textile cord that brings a playful contemporary note to the composition. At 2 metres long, the cord offers both flexibility and presence.
Mira is a soft name with an African/Swahili resonance, echoing miri and its association with water. Its gentle, flowing sound felt like a natural fit for a lamp inspired by ripples, reflections and the ever-changing movement of light on water.
